Our certified compostable wheat straws are made from 100% plant-based ingredients. The wheat stalk, left behind after harvesting the grain is normally treated as a waste product. However, these stalks still have value! After the harvest, the straws we use are dried naturally in sunlight. Then they are peeled, cut, boiled and sterilized in hot water by the local farmers. Thereafter, the straws are cut in to the correct size and then quality checked to ensure they meet our strict standards. Joe’s Heroes only uses the best and strongest wheat straws.
